I have been Nuneaton’s most active campaigner for the last decade. I have stopped hazardous waste plants being built, opposed cuts at the George Eliot Hospital, campaigned for better train services, cheaper bus fares, to save the best countryside from development, fight unfair benefit changes and been an outstanding local councillor. Sadly too many people type cast greens as just treehuggers. Last May was the only time I did any tree campaigning in a very successful stand-off with a developer who was going to chop down a Oak for a temporary access road. For the other 363 days of the year I did normal stuff.
